Peter Mayes - YEI Co-ordinator

“You may lack confidence or feel hopeless about finding work, talk to us, tell us about yourself, you are unique, together we can find a way to get things on the right track.”

We also know that your mental wellbeing is important, and can guide you to other helpful services, including community-based activities, talking therapies and mental health support.

We can work with any person between the ages of 15 and 29 living in the Tees Valley, not in formal education (college, university, training) or paid employment (including self-employment).

If you’ve been on a YEI programme previously you may not be able to access this support - but please let us know and we can check on your behalf.

Our main bases are:
Tees Street, Hartlepool & Yarm Road, Stockton
At Starfish YEI, we work with you, building on your current skills and understanding at the right pace. Monthly appointments are linked by groups and activities with extra support at those important moments, such as getting an application right or preparing for an interview.
